much a novice work, in every sense. I knew a few people who liked
this painting, and that's great, but I honestly don't like it at
all. This was something that just came together while I was screwing
around. It was assembled in a quick, almost slapdash manner that,
strangely, foreshadowed my watercanvas paintings.
I
wish I had more time to practice drawing faces properly; at least,
find an expressive style to adopt. Everything seems out of proportion,
and it just smacks of amateurism. But isn't that what college students
are supposed to do? That's why they're students.
