The Great Skatepark of Life

2000 - Watercavas with Correction Fluid

The secret of making watercolor paintings on canvas is how few hues you need to create something great. This piece, for instance, was put together with only three colors. Blending them together depends on the intensity of the paints and the amount of water on the canvas. Throw in some liquid paper for accent (also dependant on the water), and you're set. Lesson over; now go and create your own art. Remember: this will go down on your Permament Record.

The b-side features a number of small-scale drawings, much like the ones found in Ant-Hill Mob. There's a few references to world events, like China's PNTR status in the U.S., the false imprisonment of Wen Ho Lee n 2000 (a cakewalk compared to what's happened after 911), and the "rats" scam pulled by the Bush campaign which was probably the tamest thing the Bushies did that year. But it's not like those ads worked, right? Thank goodness Bush restored honor and integrity to the White House. Before he and the other Sopranos completely looted and dismantled the Republic, I mean.

Sigh. Just another day in the great skatepark of life.

On the other hand, this painting looks really nice.
