The Hollywood Kiss

2001 - Watercavas with Correction Fluid

This piece was a little different, probably closer to my abstract paintings from the Acrylics series than anything. The watercolors and liquid paper serve as a backdrop, and the black paint at the foreground is really nail polish. Just another instance of screwing around. Overall, I think I wanted something that looked Asian, maybe a bit Zen. Perhaps I should go back and make a whole series of paintings like this one, like a whole alphabet of patterns and movements.

The b-side was something that was just slapped together, in the hopes that inspiration would find itself. In the end, things were kept rather minimal. As for the model sketch, I had another one of these drawings left over from an earlier session, and managed to use most of them across several watercanvas b-sides.

I think I was told this would enhance my "glamourous gangsta" image. All I need now is my own clothing line and free limo rides.
