Circuit Boards, Part II
2003 - Digital Media

Yes, I am fully aware that this is identical to the first Circuit Boards, only with black instead of white. I enjoyed messing around when creating these, and just couldn't pick one to keep. Besides, as we are one generation past the days of Pop Art, this should be a common sight. Warhol was always one of my favorite influences, so I enjoy trying to apply his mass-production scale to different styles.

This, really, was a new approach for me. Normally, I would only keep the very best pieces and view the transitional works as just that, transitions to the next thing. But this time, I enjoyed creating so much, and enjoyed the final results so much, that I just couldn't make those cuts. So that's why you see several variations on a lot of these paintings.

I envision these pieces, printed on canvas or paper, and blown up to at least 6' square. Probably the influence of the movies, but I want the larger scale, the larger screen. It creates a more immersive experience.

Update: If you want to create digital artwork like this, remember that your resolution must exceed 300 dots-per-inch. Anything lower will be unprintable.
