are generally three different themes for titles: medititative, political,
and defiantly independent. This is a perfect example of the third
group. There isn't any specific reason why this particular piece
is named this way, really; but I wanted something positive and assertive.
Something that just matches with where my head is right now.
I
really dig the liquid color in this one, wonderfully vibrant and
silky smooth. As you can probably guess, I like working with the
warm colors most, especially on the watercanvas paintings. It really
doesn't matter to me what medium you use; in the end, a good painting
is a good painting.
Conformity
is just another form of confinement. Follow your own muse and make
your own art. Learn to think for yourself, and try to do something
about that world that's just outside your senses. Emancipate yourself
from mental slavery. |
