2001 - Coloring Book with Crayons

Grover is another solid entry to this series, with a distinctive use of color and light, and some black crayon to give some shape and obscure the original picture. During 2001 and 2002, I would sketch out these drawings whenever I had an hour to spare.

There is a greater emphasis on color and less emphasis on texture, like, say, the Watercanvas paintings. But there is just as much care to detail and composition as anything else I've done.

Another motive was to demonstrate how easy it is for anyone to create art. If you think you could do this, well, then why don't you? What's holding you back?
