| Elmo
is a perfect example of what I wanted to do by creating abstract
art through coloring books. The feel of the piece should be primal,
almost instinctive, like a five-year-old with a box of crayons and
no notions of How Things Are Supposed To Be Done.
This
is a little drawing/painting/whatever that I enjoyed. I liked having
these intersecting lines working against each other; those great
childish scribbling of colors, like Elmo on a psychedelic rainbow,
conjuring electricity through his fingers.
That's
a great explanation; I just happened to think of it while writing
this commentary. Feel free to use that. |
