Nanji
Desu Ka? is Japanese for "what time is it?" It's
usually among the first phrases taught to you when you begin studying
the language. They don't teach you anything about telling time,
so actually asking for the time is pretty much worthless until you
are further along.
The
third piece is mostly reds, and looks terrific. The wondrous color
is what I really enjoyed with these latest paintings, and there's
a detail and saturation that has always eluded me before. Maybe
it's just where my head is at in 2004. |
