Midori
is the Japanese word for green, for those at home keeping
score. I'm thinking of giving a lot of these newest paintings Japanese
names; partially as a tribute and thank-you to everyone visiting
this website from Japan, and, well, mostly because I'm trying to
learn this language of yours. I think I'm now at the level of a
two-year-old. I can count to ten and name colors. Whee.
This
is the third variation on Midori, and if you pay close attention,
you can see the gradual progression through the entire series. What
I would do is make changes and alterations to one piece, and then
save every few steps, telling myself to seperate the wheat from
the chaff at a later time. In the end, a few were discarded, but
the lion's share are easily worthy of being added to the gallery. |
