| "Why
don't you just tell me the name of the movie you want?"
No,
wait, that's "chunnel."
A
good set of moody colors come together in this drawing. Another
example of using gold spray paint effectively. This bad boy was
inspired by Miyamoto's Zelda 64 (1998), a videogame I've
long regarded as the finest ever made.
On
the back side, I had scribbled something about the use of spray
paint: "Gold spray paint has the ability to change the colors,
give them a better mood and feel. The trick is to mix into the paper
in very light amounts. You want reflection from the gold, but too
much paint sucks the life out of the piece, like looking at a solar
lens flare. Moderation is the key. Also, remember to layer."
It's
a little wierd how I started out with drawings like this one, and
then years later drift into digital artwork that's pretty much the
same thing. I really don't plan these things out. |
