| This
piece, like the rest of the early artwork, was made with marker
pens and gold spray paint. What makes gold spray paint effective
is how is changes the colors, adding a velvet lustre to the basic
reds and blues and yellows and greens. The name comes from an earlier
drawing I made back in the mid-'90s called "Four Rooms."
So this is the Bob Dylan-sequel of sorts.
For
the most part, these different patterns just found themselves, and
I ended up highlighting them with different colored markers. I've
always admired the color tones. |
